At this project we demolished a concrete garage and built a music room on the existing foundation. The client is a drummer and also needed to use the space as an office, so striking the balance between allowing in natural light and providing excellent sound insulation was a key facet of this design. We achieved this by using acoustic glass from a specialist glazing supplier, and combining it with thick, high density acoustic insulation both between and on top of the timber framework.
