Our clients are a multi-generational family. They needed more space in their home for entertaining and office work, without losing the storage space that their previous large shed had afforded them. With Finch Partridge, they designed a beautiful garden room across the full width of their wide garden which accommodated a multifuctional room with two generously sized storage areas at either side. Clad in cedar, this summer room was designed around the bifold doors which open fully for inside/outside entertaining, looking out on their beautiful well-established garden. At each side of the room is a separate garden storage space – one for each of the generations. This summer room has afforded the family adaptable floor space, being used for entertaining, office space and also as a child's playroom. A wonderful way to add space and value to their house without the disruption of a big extension project.
